Scribomatic is operated by Manicgrin Media Ltd. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

What we collect

When you purchase Scribomatic

Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive your email address and payment confirmation from Stripe. We do not store your card details — these are handled entirely by Stripe.

When you use the app

Scribomatic stores all your writing locally on your computer. We do not collect, transmit, or have access to your manuscripts, notes, or any content you create.

The app checks for updates by requesting a JSON file from GitHub. This request contains no personal data beyond your IP address (which is not logged by us).

When you visit this website

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, traffic sources, general location). This uses cookies. No personally identifiable information is collected. You can opt out using a browser add-on or by disabling cookies. Google's privacy policy is available here.

How we use your data

• Your email address is used solely to send purchase receipts (via Stripe) and, if necessary, to contact you about your order.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.
• We do not send marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in.

Data retention

Purchase records are retained in Stripe for accounting and legal purposes. We keep a minimal log of completed purchases (email, date, amount) for our records.

Your rights
